Eagles for Eagles Golf Tournament is about more than golf. It's a chance for our community to come together in support of Liberty Common's athletics programs. This year, that mission carries extra weight: proceeds from the tournament will go directly toward turfing Everett Field.

For years, Everett Field has served as a home base for countless practices, games, and memories for our student-athletes. But time, weather, and heavy use have taken their toll on the natural grass surface. Maintenance demands have grown, playing conditions have become less consistent, and the need for a long-term solution has become increasingly clear.

Why Turf, and Why Now

Turfing Everett Field represents a significant investment in the future of Liberty Common athletics. A new turf surface would provide:

  • Durability — a playing surface built to withstand heavy year-round use across multiple sports and teams
  • Safety — consistent, reliable footing that reduces injury risk for our athletes
  • Playability — a high-quality surface that performs well regardless of weather conditions, minimizing cancellations and field closures

This isn't a small undertaking. Turf projects of this scale require significant funding, and that's where this tournament — and this community — come in.

How Funds Will Be Used

Proceeds raised through the Eagles for Eagles Golf Tournament won't stand alone. They will be combined with supporting grants and additional community contributions to help fund the full scope of the Everett Field turf project. Every dollar raised at the tournament brings Liberty Common closer to making this vision a reality for current and future scholar-athletes.

Whether you're an avid golfer, a Liberty Common parent, an alum, or simply someone who believes in supporting student-athletes, there's a place for you at this year's tournament. Bring a foursome, sponsor a hole, or come out to enjoy a day on the course while supporting a project that will benefit Eagles for years to come.
