Women's Swim and Dive Place Fourth in 3A State
The LCHS women's swim & dive team delivered an outstanding performance at the state championship, earning podium finishes and breaking school records. The team placed 4th overall, an impressive improvement from 7th last year. The 200-Free Relay and Medley Relay secured top finishes, with the 200-Free Relay earning All-State 2nd-Team honors. Several school records were broken during the meet, including the Medley Relay, 200-Free Relay, and Josie Stahl's 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Josie’s 100 Breaststroke time became an official 3A state record, recognized in the program and announced behind the blocks. Though another swimmer broke it in finals, it had stood strong since 2011—only to be surpassed twice in one meet. Adding to the team’s success, Cora Jorgensen won the consolation heat of the 100 Backstroke, and the 400-Free Relay won the consolation heat, closing the meet with a strong finish. Congratulations to all swimmers for their hard work, dedication, and remarkable achievements!
