Women's Swim and Dive Regular Season Recap

 

The Liberty Common women’s swim & dive team closed out the regular season in dominant fashion, claiming victory at the Longs Peak League Meet with an impressive 491 points and winning 9 of 11 swim events.

The meet was highlighted by record-breaking performances. The 200 Medley Relay team of Cora Jorgensen, Josie Stahl, Addison Jones, and Quinn Barr—set a new league and school record. Addison Jones continued her stellar season, breaking league records in the 100 fly and 500 free. Josie Stahl made history in the100 Breaststroke, setting a new team record and swimming 0.01 seconds under the 2011 3A state record with a time of 1:05.25

Adding to the team’s accolades, Coach Rob Huey was named Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season.

The Eagles have enjoyed an outstanding regular season, winning the Longs Peak League Sprints Meet, placing fourth at the City Swim Meet, and finishing second at the Valley Viking Invite behind 5A powerhouse Greeley West. With seven individuals and all three relays qualifying for the state meet, Liberty Common is poised for a strong showing on Colorado’s biggest stage.
